Description

Self-retracting lifelines offer the unique advantage of extreme mobility coupled with the benefits of a safety line. The CFL-4-Z7/9FT Black Rhino™ SRL with steel twist-lock carabiner from Miller is an expertly made piece of equipment designed to allow the user a 9' radius from its anchor point if unraveled slowly. If jolted, the quick acting fall limiter brake engages, locking the line in place and immediately stopping a fall. This unit is made to the highest standards with an aluminum, stainless steel and high impact nylon housing surrounding the 3/16" stainless steel line rated at 310 lbs working load. The housing clips to anchor points with a 1" gate twist lock carabiner and connects to most harness and belt systems with a 3/4" gate locking snap hook that features a swivel joint to avoid twisting and tangling. A visual load indicator lets the user know when the line needs to be serviced.

Impressive tensile strength

The steel cable has an impressive tensile strength for the price of the product. It also retracts smoothly making it much easier than having to adjust it manually all the time.

Great SRL

The hook and carabiner attach really nicely. I use it with my Miller Aircore harness and it keeps everything nice and secure. Great SRL indeed.

Get yourself an SRL like this one!

Honestly, I don't know why you wouldn't opt for an SRL. They're generally very useful and secure and this model, in particular, caught my eye. In terms of its features and construction, it ticks all the right boxes for what I need in safety equipment. The length of the cable is good, the snap hook attaches well, I love the load indicator and fall limiter. The cable also feeds out and retracts very smoothly. Overall, it's a great product.
