The energy absorber built into the 1341001 is housed within this casing, protecting the equipment from all elements. The unique design of this energy absorber allows for controlled tearing action during a fall that limits arrest forces to safe levels. Adding to the long-lasting build of this 3M™ PROTECTA® lanyard is the use of zinc plated steel snap hooks on both ends of the lanyard. These hooks are self-locking and boast a strength and corrosion resistance that is unparalleled. The 6 foot long 1341001 lanyard is also fitted with an impact indicator to make it easy to inspect.
