When compared to other shock-absorbing lanyards, this 100% tie-off lanyard from the 3M™ PROTECTA® PRO™ Pack series, is a forerunner. The 1340180 is a 6 foot, double leg lanyard that is made of abrasion resistant polyester webbing which increases the longevity of the product. Self-locking steel rebar hooks are located at the leg ends and a snap hook is at the center. Adding to the efficiency of this design is the incorporation of an energy absorber whose unique, controlled tearing action limits arrest forces during a fall. A convenient and durable PVC shock pack guarantees the protection of this system. The impact indicator allows for visual determination that the lanyard was involved in a fall.
