How to Enhance Your 4th of July

How to Enhance Your 4th of July

We’re at the very beginning of July 4th celebrations and being one of the most patriotic holidays in America, you definitely want to make it fun and memorable. But if you’re just as busy as me, you haven’t even given it much thought. We're here to help! (As usual 😜)

So for starters, if you are not exactly sure with the idea of what 4th of July is all about, here’s a brief history to add some meaning to your day:

The 4th of July is the day all American colonies (currently states) decided to unite and stand behind the Declaration of Independence from Britain, in the year July 4, 1776. (Yes, that makes America 241 years old!) The Declaration was drafted by Thomas Jefferson, Ben Franklin and John Adams.

So what are some activities you can do to enhance your Fourth of July?

Of course, Fireworks!

No 4th of July celebration is complete without enjoying a firework show experience. No matter how many times you’ve seen it, you will always find yourself going back the following year to gaze at the fireworks as they decorate the sky. Your kids will love it, and so will you - it's a win for all!

Music Festivals

Music festivals are a great way to spend Independence Day. No matter which city or state you reside, there are always music festivals going on. Check your local listings for more information.

Better yet, try music & impromptu camping, it's a lovely combination!

Movies in the Park

Always a good summer idea. Enjoy movies in the park as you cuddle up with the love of your life and have a little picnic.

Games with Loved Ones

Invite your neighbors, family & friends and have a great time together. Let loose, get goofy and have fun! See some game ideas below:

  • Costume contest (whoever has the most creative costume wins)
  • American history competition (get facts from Wikipedia, write question on red, white & blue cards)
  • Baseball, soccer or basketball game
  • Cup race (cup stacking, or cups filled with water on head)
  • Scavenger hunt
  • Patriotic crafts for kids (red, white and blue cookies, cake decorating and even painting)

It is made from strong but ultra-lightweight material in order to provide better balance. The graphite hard hats fit any head shape and provide extra comfort to the wearer. Worrying about the summer heat? The white graphite hard hat is flying off the shelves as it is a great shield against the strong summer sun.

Best wishes for a safe and happy holiday!
